Fields of Activities

The fields of activities of the Bundeszahnärztekammer (BZÄK) include in particular: 

• The representation of the dental profession towards politics, media and the broad public at federal level;
• The initiative of intense efforts concerning the establishment of basic conditions for the provision and recognition of dental services which follow the principles of liberal profesisonal exercise and which are oriented towards the patient's autonomy;
• The coordination and implementation of general cross-border missions of the members of the BZÄK;
• The coordination and further development of dental education, continuous dental education and postgraduate dental education in cooperation with dental scientific organisations;
• The promotion of public health care;
• The representation of the interests of the dental profession at European and international level;
• A specific PR-activity in the interest of the dental profession and their patients.
